I cannot think of anyone who never consumes Nestle products

I have not come across anyone who never consumes Nestle products. If you have not consumed Milo, Nescafe coffee, Ice mountain water, Nestle Crunch, Acti-V yogurt, Carnation milk, coffee mate, After Eight chocolate, Milk bar and 2000 brands of food and beverages, then I wonder where you have been living all the time. Nestle products are so well known that we do not have worried about product quality. The strange thing is that most of the consumers never think about the company, Nestle Ag. You can become a shareholder of Nestle Ag when you the shares in SIX Exchange (Switzerland stock market). You can also buy Nestle ADR in USA through the brokers. The current price of Nestle Ag is a bit on the high side. The dividend yield at this price is slightly more than 3%. The current share price of Nestle AG is about 72 CHF. The share price was below 40 CHF for most of the year 2009. Nestle Ag is a very profitable company with increasing dividend.

Nestle is a world famous brand. Although I have a coffee machine at home, but sometimes I still prefer to have the instant Nestle coffee because it is convenient to make a cup of coffee in a short time. And I often buy Nestle dairy products, too.

@scheng1 Yes, I tried Kit Kat. But I don't really like it very much because it is just too sweet for me.

@youless I like it when I drink coffee without sugar. The sweetness complements the bitter taste of coffee.

Have you tried Kit Kat before? It is part of Nestle group too. I very much like to by shares of Nestle, but Nestle does not have secondary listing in Singapore, and I have to incur custodian cost on top of transaction cost if I were to get it.

Oh yes, everyday. I have nescafe coffee in the morning as well as koko crunch choco flakes and Bear brand milk. Then Nestea iced tea for lunch. During snacks I would have Nestle Chuckie chocolate drink. There are still many aside from those I have mentioned.

Have you researched on the company that make the products? If you want to learn investment or you want to start a business, you have to train yourself to think from the business perspective. It is amazing that a small company that was started more than a hundred years ago in Switzerland can grow to serve the whole world.

@LdeL0318 If you have read the ending part of my discussion, you will see that the entire discussion is about investment, not the food. When you know the products so well, you can think about investing in the company. That is the way that rich people get rich

@scheng1 No, we have a small store and a Nestle agent comes here once a week to get our order. So I am familiar with their products.

I think you can make it a lesson to your children about the growth of a great company. You can get them to learn to find the ingredient list, the nutrition content, and the company behinds the products. This is learning for the real world!

At different times I have used some of those products you have listed. Right now the only one that I am using is coffee-mate which is the powdered flavored creamer that I use in my coffee.

I wonder if I can find anyone without Nestle products at home. I know that it is hard to find someone who holds Nestle Ag shares. Only those who are good in investing will think of the companies behind great products.

I doubt you have their shares! If yes, you will get consistent dividend every year.

@gudheart That is because you refuse to learn! Since you do not learn, you are definitely not good at it. Investing is actually very easy, once you get the basic right, and make your own decision instead of listening to so-call hot tips.

Nestle, yummy. Yeah, you think about products that are so international and think, is there someone out there that has never tried Coke Cola?

That is not the point of my discussion. My point is that Nestle Ag is a good company for investors.

@marlina It will depends on the share price. if you bought when it was 40 CHF and collected dividend till now, and sell at 72 CHF, you can see that you have made a good profit.

Investing starts from gaining knowledge, not involving money until you know more about it. Since you are in Philippines, and you like Jolibee, has you bought the share?

Are you sure all the products? Nestle has instant noodle too. I did not like it when I was young, but now it seemed that they had so many types of instant noodle. I still avoid it as far as possible.
