I found out a cabaret show I was invited to participate in months ago has now not included me on its list of performers, after I took the time and trouble to prepare material for it. I got a vague apology about being ‘forgotten’ after supporting shows by the group concerned for over a year now, and a half-hearted promise to try to amend it – given that slots take up just three minutes it hardly seems that difficult to put right such an error, but I’m left in limbo on the matter for now. - Amendment - They have now fixed this so I am now officially in the show again - hooray! My mum had a check-up at the hospital on her heart condition and there was mercifully no deterioration in her condition. A neighbour dropped by to bring her some romantic novels to read which was lovely. Arthur Chappell

Sorry you prepared all that for nothing, I would be mad too. Glad your mom's heart condition is improving and not getting worse. I love reading books, I do it when I have nothing else going on.

It must be very annoying to be left out like that, especially when an extra few minutes would not be critical.

There is no excuse for not righting a wrong... regardless of how much trouble it would be! And I'm happy for your mum!! That was a nice thing for the neighbor to do!!

I hope the novels aren't too racy; how will your mum's heart cope!

I hope the group fix their oversight. It isn't very professional behaviour is it? Good that you Mum's check was satisfactory. Does she read a lot?
