The cobble stoned street. The heritage site.
Calle Crisologo.
It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in that it is one of the few Hispanic towns left in the Philippines where its structures remained intact.
This 500--meter street only allows, the horse-driven carriage called "calesa" to pass through those old Spanish houses line up on both streets.
The first floor of those Spanish style houses are now being rented for souvenir shops and other Ilocano products like sugar cane wine and vinegar, local sausage (longganisa), the "abel" or Ilocano tapestry.
Hope you find the 'village" interesting site to visit here in the Philippines, particularly in Vigan City.

I want to live in that place right now.
It is beautiful Reine..
I love cobblestones and the history of it.
The fact it has been preserved all the years is a real treasure.
Thank you for sharing it here.
Have you visited a lot?

I think they should make all city streets like that again and get rid of all cars. Make it so only horse and buggy are the only mode of transportation. Is there a cooler sound than that over a cobbled road?
