Have You Ever Seen This Movie?

I took my grandson to see this movie a few years ago and then I actually purchased the movie on DVD. While it is an animated movie that has a certain appeal for children, it also presents a frightening reality check for adults.
The name of the movie is “Wall-E.”
If you have not seen this movie, I highly recommend it. It’s all about the EARTH being overwhelmed with TRASH to the point that life was so threatened that the few people that were on earth left the planet and existed in a space craft for many years.
Is that what the world is coming to? Is that why scientists are trying to learn if another planet will support human life? Is there any answer to the overwhelming problem of trash and non-biodegradable products that continue to be replaced by a NEWER version almost every day?
Do you have any idea, how many cell phones are discarded every day and replaced with a newer version? The number is astronomical. One so-called “solution” is that small children in developing countries are paid very little to take these phones apart to glean the precious metals for reuse. However, this process exposes these children to radiation and other dangers.
What do you think?

Its definitely worth seeing, I think. The younger kids just see it as an animated film but the adults can pick up on the underlying theme and that's what made it very interesting to me. I hope you get to see it.

Did you realize that it had underlying themes for the adults?

Trash and non-biodegradable items are HUGE problems for the earth, but VERY few people think about it.

I thought it was a very good movie as I watched it. It had, like I said, an underlying theme for adults, that I hadn't known about until I started watching the scenes with interest. I had mainly gone to take my grandson and didn't realize that the movie would have any impact on me. The "BEE" movie is also very similar, having an adult theme about humans ruining the earth. It reminded me of the scripture at Revelation 11:18, which says that God will "bring to ruin those ruining the earth."
It's certainly something to consider.

Yeah I love Wall-e. It has a great lesson within. While I was teaching computer subject on secondary school, I have shown them to my students and made sure ( as much as I could) that they learn the lesson from that movie

Well, that was a good thing to do, to show the students the lesson that could be learned. Children especially, do not see the underlying problems that plague the earth. That is way beyond their understanding. But, they will be the ones dealing with it in years to come, unless something changes.
