Not Myself

Today I just did not want to do anything. Yes, I got my hair done so I would look decent for the funeral on Thursday. But I'm talking about being on the computer. I just lacked the enthusiasm today.
I took a short nap before my son had class, so that helped a little bit. I stayed at the school so it wouldn't be a waste of gas going back and forth. I found out my sister has been trying to get hold of me. My cell died - something wrong with the phone because it was fully charged when it just died in the middle of a ring yesterday. I don't need to go to the church tomorrow. She got it all taken care of over the phone today. So right now I have tomorrow completely free.
So now I'm home and I'm feeling more social than I was all day, and getting down to reading and interacting with you all. I know it's all that happened and the funeral that has me not knowing which way to turn and my enthusiasm for everything is just not what it was.
So I ask your patience with me while I sort myself out and get back to normal at some point soon, I hope.
Thanks for reading. I hope your day is going well.
I thought I would share a picture of my parents taken at my daughter's wedding reception. It's one of the best I have of them, and thanks to my sister-in-law taking my crashed hard drive to her computer savvy father, I have all those files now retrieved.

It's very understandable that you would not be yourself. That is a lovely picture of your parents.

it's okay to withdraw and give yourself time to grieve. we all take online breaks.

So am I. It's a huge relief to have them back. I don't like normal at the moment.

some days are just days to kinda exist, and just slump about the house

You don't need to apologize for that, you just had a major loss that is completely understandable-keeping you in prayer.

I haven't really felt like being on the computer either, but I need to since I had promised that I would do more hours.

With all that you have on your plate this week with the loss of your father it is understandable. So take your time as it is going to take time for you to get through losing your father so soon after your mother. Just take one day at a time and rest knowing that God will walk you through thos valley as He has already did so many others. Prayers are going up for you now even as I type this.

Thank you. Things are okay, not great, but maybe spending time with kids tonight will be the difference maker.

That's a good picture. It's nice that you now have that special moment captured.
