One of the sports being competed at the ongoing Palarong Pambansa I posted about the other day , is wushu , a Chinese Martial art . This is being held in the celebration plaza of the mall we manage .
As you can see in the picture, in the women category, they have that head protective gear and at the bust area .
My officemates and I decided to watch it yesterday . It was exciting , but then I was shocked that they kick as hard as they can to each other , so much so that the hit opponent was thrown to the far end of the place .
Right at that moment , I went back to the office and didn’t watch it anymore .
I can watch boxing and wushu of the males , but not of the females though .
What’s the most bloody & physically draining game have you ever watched and liked ?

My business partner owns a martial art school and they teach Wushu, but my son is studying karate with her now.

@SIMPLYD yeah, the reason why we allowed him to study karate was for self-defense. He is our only child and he would want to be independent soon. He has his own condo and it will be turned over next year and it's just right across from his school. We want him to learn how to defend his own self.

@SIMPLYD yes, I don't like any sports that purposely physically hurt the players like wushu, boxing, kick boxing etc..

The most bloody and physically draining game that I have ever watched - a couple that is breaking up!
Seriously though, I've seen a number of fights that ended in brutal knockouts!

@SIMPLYD I actually find girls who are into any form of martial arts appealing. They are fit and confident plus take a look at their abs... drooling!!!

@SIMPLYD Wow, that was a heavy kick! It may not be interesting to you to watch Wushu; but if you know some young wives physically and mentally abused by their crazy husbands in your place, tell them to watch and learn Wushu!

The deejay on the radio commented on Wushu , that it should be what the wives should learn so that they can kick their philandering husbands when they catch him .

i have not watched any 'bloody' game sport yet, my lady, and i already see many blood in the hospital, so I never wish to see athletes shedding some blood too.

@ridingbet You really are a good nurse to be able to bear seeing those things . I so admire you for that courage and trait . I don't have that . I can't even drive a car because i am a nervous person .
I am also afraid of the pricking to get blood . I request instead that i just be injected in my lower arm .

@SIMPLYD that is true. when i was the operating room nurse in the hospital where I worked as the HN, i would even look straight into the internal organs of the patient, and clamp the oozing artery with mosquito forceps.
@brokenbee is also so afraid of oozing blood, or any photo of blood, even a prick with blood, she is afraid

Really . That's good because you get to bond .
I learned to watch boxing too , because of my husband , who is a fan of Manny Pacquiao , the Filipino all division champion .
Sometimes , we have to learn to like some of the things our husband watches on TV . Watching TV is a good way of bonding with our husbands , right ?

I don't like "bloody" sports too like the UFC. However I like tae-kwon-do, lawn tennis and volleyball.
