Social Networks: MyLot Versus BitLanders

Signed on with myLot August 2015. Signed on with bitLanders April 2015.
There are immediate noticeable differences between these two social networks. Not insurmountable though. These are my “quick and dirty” observations.
MyLot is easier to use – publishing and commenting process is simple; screen load time is quicker, and there's no guesswork when it comes to knowing your earnings. A non-member does not have to sign in to view my activity. It's public and can be shared by members or non-members. But a person has to be a member to post a comment. No such thing as a Buzz Score.
BitLanders is not as easy to learn, the commenting process is kind of awkward, posting and page loading is slower; and you have to convert points to calculate your earnings. Achieving a high buzz score really takes effort! Non-members can not view my activity. They can only glimpse my profile, i.e. see my avatar and a few pics. There is a Buzz Score. The buzz score measures your influence in the community and feeds into the “loyalty points” calculation.
Comparison Summary:
BitLanders seems a tad bit more complicated, but there is an income potential.
Both sites pay via PayPal. $10 cash-out.
But BL has other methods of payments and rewards.
Last but not least. BitLanders has a referral link. MyLot does not.
But it's all good!

Yes. It's an interesting site. They encourage blogging. It seems that it was actually started for Indie filmmakers. It was called Film Annex. Here's a business history link.
When i started with this site formerly 'film annex' and now 'bitlanders', i was very excited to participate because of the revenues are in bitcoins. But now on my more than two months i am starting to questioned systems, policies and the most important is

After a couple of days there I'm not sure that BitLanders is the place for me. One of the things I love about myLot is the fact that most of the discussions are genuine. From what I've seen at BitLanders so far, a lot of the people just leave smiley faces or something similar in the comment box and don't bother to say anything.

So I've noticed. According to the Alexa stats, this site ranks high in Pakistan, and very low in the USA. Not sure of the value-add of this site. Maybe if I see $10 deposited to my PayPal account, I'll start singing its praises.

@cmoneyspinner I'm not sure I'll have the patience to wait for that to happen. I can use my time far more constructively at either myLot or BlogJob.

I would use bitLanders in addition to myLot. I would definitely not TRADE myLot for bitLanders. I have way too much fun at this site and earn extra income faster here than at most sites, without even trying that hard! It doesn't even matter if myLot doesn't give you credit for referrals.
The first time I generated a discussion at myLot and made a few comments and saw my earnings, I thought it was a mistake or a quirk or a glitche.
Couldn't believe the earnings showed up that fast!
For sure I'm not leaving this site. ( Not voluntarily anyway.
)
~ For the record, I liked the B site. For some reason, the B site didn't like me!

I gave up on Bitlanders. Barely anything going on there. I love it here anyways

I like both sites so far. But you're right. BitLanders does seem kind of quiet.

For both sites tagging is key. You are right. Microblogging via bitLanders is super easy. Now if I can just get the members to Buzz me!
I share some nice stuff! But folks have to find me.
I'm trying to get used to the "flavor" of the community. People from different parts of the world are interested in different things. What might excite folks and create a buzz on BitLanders
might make users on MyLot yawn
.
I started sharing links to my MyLot discussions on BitLanders. You can share the discussions from MyLot via social media and share it again via BitLanders. Why not? It's allowed.
Hey! All in a day's work!

I've never heard of the other site.
I am looking for more discussion type sites but they seem to be few and far between.

@Mike197602 - Nope! You didn't. It takes a little exploring.

seems a weird place where it doesn't seem to explain anything really about the site before you register.
Maybe I missed the faws on the landing screen

For sure. Patience is not optional.
