Calamity mode - Lazy housewife

Hello! Just when I think I'm out of the woods with the Common Cold I do something so silly to put me back on the list of "eat before taking" which is synonymous to "TAKING PILLS" While preparing for our Melodrama last week, I was asked to do the ladder climbing to hoist the backdrop of our little 'home-made' stage. Not thinking of my injuries from 8 years ago, when I over stretched and tore both my Achilles heels whilst painting my house inside and outside. The recovery and tendinitis took years to heal and my walking eventually became normal again. Well guess what, ladder climbing has put me into calamity mode, no good came from that, as I have torn my right Achilles heel again and I am in great discomfort. Yesterday after lawn bowling I felt the pain especially and now today I shall have to apply the RICE method - R - rest I - ice C - compression E - elevation and TAKE anti-inflammatory tablets. So I am about to put my feet up with an ice pack strapped to the ankle, rest the leg and watch some television like a lazy housewife. I have a big bowling competition this week-end and its imperative that I get the Achilles heel sorted! Happy Thursday!

that was yesterday - I have already been ordered about today, so no rest for the heel, but later this afternoon maybe. It is feeling a tad better

I am so sorry Lany. I know that tendinitis is painful. When I hit my right knee the last day of last year, I had tendinitis, I was treated with pain killers and ultra sound, but to be honest it still hurts time by time.
