In Bangladesh we people celebrating the first day of bangla new year today.People enjoying and lot and celebrating this day with tradition.
People wear traditional dresses
people eating traditional foods and so on

No i haven't heard of it yet. But April 13 was Thai's New year and they call it Songkran. In their tradition, they splash water to everybody. I knew that because I once lived in Bangkok for 6 months.
