She is disappearing again...

My friend who has had quite the history of drug abuse has suddenly started going AWOL again. I used to live with her and the sure sign of her using again was that she was never around and never texted me back or wanted to hang out. When she is clean however - she cant seem to stop texting me and demanding to hang out all the time.
I am pretty close with her dad (who is my dads friend) and he is saying he hasnt seen her for a long time, maybe several weeks. When I text her what she is doing she always gives me the same evasive answers or doesnt text back at all.
Having a friend who is an ex drug abuser causes some trust issues with me. How do i know? Am I jumping the gun thinking she is back to using again?

It seems like we had this un-said conversation already when we have talked about why we aren't sure where she is. I think he is aware of the possibility but doesn't want to acknowledge it.... But I could also be misinterpreting everything. Gah! Drives me wild not knowing though.

I would try and talk to her. She sounds like she may be but how is she acting towards everyone?

If that is the pattern your friend follows, it doesn't sound promising.
