For the record, Kora actually is a Daniff. I knew someone who had them once and they are loveable, bumbling, not real bright dogs who get into awkward situations. Kora is 3/4 Great Dane and 1/4 Mastiff.
Following is a quote about how this 120 lb dog PROBABLY ended up 20 feet up in a tree:
"No one saw how Kora, the Great Dane who is a quarter Mastiff, got up the tree, but there’s suspicion she was chasing a raccoon. After her owner got home from dinner, she couldn’t find the dog." This is from this article here:
If Rocky comes back to visit Scar @JolietJake best keep his eye on the raccoon so he does not get the kitty in trouble.
When a great dane was stuck in a tree, the Plattsmouth Fire Department in Louisville, Nebraska, couldn't believe their eyes. The 120-pound dog made it 20-feet

@GardenGerty Not many dogs climb trees, even ambitious ones.

Okay, so the dog is a puppy? Well, 120 pound puppy, which is understandable considering lineage. And that looks like a pretty massive tree, too. But still. A giant of a dog up a tree. Will wonders never cease? Let's hope not! lol Thanks for the story! :)

It was entertaining, as our pets often are. We often need something quirky to give us a lift.

It sounds like she got so carried away chasing a raccoon that she did not notice what she was doing until she was up the tree and stuck.

I wonder what the point of that cross is, like what good traits were they going for

Oh, me too! I get a little tired of the sad stories. Stretches our mind a bit to think of that dog. Then the article said she "whimpered" when she could not get down.
