The Storm of the Century

The way they've been talking, we are supposed to get The Storm of the Century over the weekend.
And it seems they were right. While it's been raining all night here in Manitou, Vail is getting hammered, according to friends, and Vail pass is closed.
Which means that other passes are closed as well. The word is that the plains are really going to get it, as well as those of us here in the Pikes Peak region. If that is the case, I expect this rain will turn into snow at some point tonight.
I didn't want to do it, but it looks like I'll be using the snow shovel I found. We here in our little complex have realized that we can get it done faster than our maintenance guys can get here. I'd rather do it myself than slip and fall.
I'm still going to try to wear shorts all weekend, though.

@NJChicaa - Just a couple days ago I was out on my bike. Today, I'm going out every couple hours and squeegeeing our area because it's all slush.

Lucky. Unfortunately, this is always part of our spring.

I saw on the weather news that eastern Colorado is getting hammered. BTW, outstanding that you managed to get music into a weather post! I always liked Tori Amos.

I also like to use The Bangles' version of "Hazy Shade of Winter."
We're getting heavy, wet snow right now.

@teamfreak16 The Bangles are a good choice. They make a person want to walk like an Egyptian.

Historically, March and April are our worst months. We got a few inches in Manitou, but it hasn't stuck to streets or sidewalks.

That's great! I was out the other day for a good ride. The next day, bam, more winter weather.
