My love for fountain pens!

While I love all my pens, my love for fountain pens is just growing by the day. There's something so delicate and beautiful about these things, I can't get over using them. Some pens have designs that have been retained since my mother's days. They just feel so representative of the old world charm.
Plus I have a very sentimental value attached to these pens. For me, it is a reminder of my childhood school days. My mother, who herself loves fountain pens gifted me my first one when I was 12. After using them for a few years, I lost my entire collection while relocating. But now I've slowly started to build my collection. I'm not exactly a connoisseur. For me, collecting pens is a memory of my childhood that I'd love to rekindle now!!

You made me recollect the different fountain pens we used during our school days before the time of ball point pens.

Where do you get your fountain pens and what brand are you using? Are you into calligraphy?

It's so rare today that anyone even speaks of pens. So many will only write things longhand if there's no choice, and then usually with a cheap ballpoint pen or even a pencil.
I used to love writing with a fountain pen, and even had a special set with nibs for doing calligraphy. These days my hands are feeling my age, and I find it hard to write much. I doubt I'd be able to write legibly with a fountain pen any more.
