What will life be, without her?

It's difficult not to have experienced having a father. I have a Papa, but he died before I was born in 1957. It is doubly difficult when the only parent I grew up with, my kind & loving Mama, was taken from me, us, in 2010, due to cardiac arrest. Now, it is just my elder sister & me. Yes, I have a very loving husband & very caring 6 kids. But, as Manay is my one & only sibling, I can't imagine my life without her. I pray for a longer life for my Manay Bebeth. I hope to see her again in 2020, God-willing!

I am sorry , you lost both of them already . So , it's you and your Manay to deal with being orphans already . But what is good is that you both have your own families now . Where is she living now , by the way ?

@KnehKnah But at least you can always communicate with her through the social media right ? That's what is so nice with the new technology like FB .

@SIMPLYD Opo. Without these skype, FB calls, etc., it will be so difficult for us to constantly communicate with each other. Thanks to hi-tech!

My parents also have passed on and it took a while to accept ..so I know exactly how you feel .. That's lovely that you share a beautiful loving relationship with your Manay. She must be living overseas?

Thank you for understanding how it feels not to have parents to love & care for. It makes me feel empty at times. :( Re, my Manay. Yes, she lives overseas.

Yes, my dear Sol, thank you. Actually, some families we know here, don't call a sibling Ate or Kuya if the age gaps are a little less than 3 years. But, Mama, at a very young age, made me call my elder sister Manay. When I can already pronounce her nickname well, I started calling her Manay Bebeth. Her two names are Gertrudes Lilibeth.

It is really sad if our parents left us, and living as orphans make us think of the good times we had with them. so, you are only 2 with your sister who are living here in our country?

You are right, my friend. Manay Bebeth resides with her family in Florida, USA, while I & my family are here in the Philippines.

@ridingbet Oh, I envy you my friend! I'd rather have arguments with my Manay too, as long as she's always near me. We're not getting any younger. We've lived far from each other for so long..

My father passed away last 2015 and it was really difficult to all of us not having him here. I missed him so badly. I feel envious for those people who still have a father.

I lost both my parents at the age of 13. I was the youngest in the family. My siblings were always there for me even though we disagreed on most cases. We don't really have a close relationship with each other, in fact none of us are friendly towards each other. But when one needs help, we were always there to support one another.

I can only sympathize with you growing up and living all of these years without your Dad, and since the loss of your Mom. I lost my Dad almost 7 years ago, and since then my family has become awfully mean and nobody wants anything to do with anybody else. Its a shame, but you and your sister seem to have a great relationship, keep it healthy and strong.

I hope you will be celebrating together the year 2020. I lost my father when I was 25, my mother is still alive and healthy at 95.

Manay lives in Florida with her family, my dear Ida. She & her hubby visited us last December (their previous was 10 years ago). She said she's coming back on 2020. I'm excited for that moment!

i just say that i cant imagine my life without my parents as from my childhood they always support me and with me so now as i become elder now its my responsibility to keep them happy so i do everything which they want... parents play big role in our life as they always love us not our money and its more then 24 carat gold, they always show right path to us for success....
