It's a Shorts Day

It's a beautiful spring day out there. Temps reaching to 76 F. For me that's warm. I'm not a person that does well with heat, 75 F being what I tolerate best. So with the temps being what they are, I decided to go for shorts. I even spent some time outside soaking in some Vitamin D as I did some raking in my flower bed on the side of the house. Now don't go getting excited because this is the second time I've mentioned flowers. The fact is, when a friend who has loads of flowers in her yard brought some over and planted them along the side of my house, those do well. I didn't plant them. And that's the key here. She did, so the plants are doing well. This is the fourth year I think for Snow on the Mountain a plant that likes room to spread. Every year there's more of it and it gets a little higher as well. I also have a peony beside them and saw it sticking up out of the ground, despite being mowed down several times last year and not allowed to get a good start. So it looks like I'll have some flowers this year. I just wish I could grow them myself, actually plant them and see them grow. Unfortunately everything I plant doesn't come up. So I let my friend bring some flowers and plant them around my house. My day lilies are also starting to grow and should do well. Those are around the side back of the house in the back yard and I'm excited to see them as well. So now I'm back inside, and back with you. How's your day going?
