I Refuse To Do It!

I refuse to do it! Even though it’s supposed to get up to eighty degrees Fahrenheit (26.6º C) I refuse to bring out my portable air conditioner. Why? Because after today it is forecasted to cool down to normal temperatures. That is around fifty-eight degrees Fahrenheit (14.4º C). We have been having a string of hotter than usual days. Why has it been so hot? A high pressure is causing the heat from Arizona to be sucked into this area. Tonight a low pressure is forecasted to move in causing the air from Alaska to move in. Also it’s supposed to bring thunder showers. Then rain on and off all this weekend. I feel a bit bad about the rain moving in this weekend. Not so much for myself, but this is the weekend for the Team Cup Challenge Skate. There will be skaters from all over the world here in Spokane this weekend. Plus visitors possibly from all over the world. I would think it would be more enjoyable if it were sunny and warm for their visit. Anyway, I’m not going to drag my air conditioner out for just one day. Yes, summer is coming but if it is cooling down, then we may not see temperatures as hot as they have been until the end of next month. For all I know at this point I may have to turn the heat back on before we see hot days again.

Is it humid there? We wouldn't turn an air-conditioner on until probably 90F or more. It would depend on the humidity.

No, it's fairly dry. We broke a record for today. It reached 84º F (28.8º C). The old record was 83º F (28.3º C). Inside my house stated a cool 73º F (22.7º C).

@JudyEv It used to be that way here, too. But the last couple of summers we have been getting more and more 100º F (37.7 C) and above days.

@RichardMeister Once or twice through the summer we get over the 100F (37.?C) but mostly it stays a bit below that.

I imagine it's still cold in Canada.
