I posted about Egyptian nostrils and someone from Africa read it.

On my blog, I posted about ancient Egyptian blessings involving nostrils. As in, "I wish life to your august nostril." Seriously, it was a thing. I found out about it when I was reading a book from 1899 that was a translation of some old papyri. I thought it was pretty funny, hilarious actually, and so I wrote about the different places I saw the blessing, as well as about how King Tut had a professional nose picker working for him. He paid him three cows plus room and board. What's really cool is, someone from Nigeria read the blog! Neat that someone from the African continent saw it.

wait. what. A professional nose picker? Why is it the cool stuff is never taught in school! If stuff like that tidbit had been chunked into history class I might have paid more attention.

If I hired a nose picker, he'd have to work 24 hours a day. I have allergies.
