Do you think a big disaster could happen due to recent earthquakes?

Seems like it could be a warning of something worse to come. I really get freaked out when things like this happen. Could be just a consequence but still it could be possible.

We in the Philippines are quite afraid too because of a major faultline that runs across Metro Manila and nearby provinces Seismologists say a major earthquake could cause thousands of lives will be lost.Keeping our fingers crossed it will not happen.

I live right on the New Madrid fault in Missouri and I keep hearing "the big one" is supposed to hit us at any time. I'm hoping it doesn't happen in my lifetime at least but what will be will be, we can't control Mother Nature.
