Apple Genius Bar Appointment Scheduled *Fingers Crossed* They'll fix my camera!

A few posts ago, I wrote about my phone vent and now I'm taking action! I made an appointment to the Apple Genius Bar tomorrow afternoon. My phone is no longer under warranty, but fingers crossed they will still assist me and fix my camera. I have had an on going problem with my rear camera being blurry. I had it fixed last year in June and the problem is still here after they replaced the camera then.. I just have been lazy to go back. But since, I am going back for a problem they put less than a year ago, I'm hoping they will fix it! *Fingers crossed* Also, if you ever experience any problems with Apple - be sure to make an appointment and visit your Genius Bar - they're most likely really nice. I have came across some not so nice but for the most part, they're helpful too! My laptop last time had a problem and without warranty, they were able to help me! And if your charger or headphones go out before the 1 year, they'll give you a refurbished one! Update: They would not honor the fix as my warranty is out. It'd be $60 for the repairs I figured the original camera sensor wasn't good, they changed that and the same problem is happening. What makes the third camera any better? So I'll just deal with the camera problem..

@infatuatedbby I certainly wouldn't pay them to fix it a third time. You are right. Who's to say they will even get it right the third time when they had two other chances? That's ridiculous. Especially since it was something they had already tried to fix. They should have had a guarantee just on that.

@mommaj I know what you mean. I was telling the guy I am not asking you to fix something totally different. I would expect the 2nd time around to be perfect as new again. And he said they hope that is not the case of needing a replacement, yeah well I'm here back again. I am not going to pay for another one - I'll deal with the out of focus camera.

They wouldn't honor the fix. My phone's out of warranty. The original camera failed. Replacement camera failed.. so what makes the 3rd time the charm? I didn't do it. It'd be $60.

Don't feel bad. I just took my iPhone to a professional to get my screen and digitizer fixed and it costs me $120 to get it and comes with 3 month warranty

@infatuatedbby No. My digitizer/screen went out on its own after 2 months of being dropped in a puddle. But its ok. It wasn't under warranty but where I got it fixed, they gave me 3 month one

They will fix it for $60 - but I figured I won't. The original camera of my phone failed, they replaced it and it's broken now.. So if I shell out $60, it isn't even a guaranteed fix. They give a 90 day warranty only.

They wouldn't fix it. It'd be $60 I didn't get my camera fixed because the original camera failed, the replacement failed and if I do get it fixed what are the chances?

It's $60 but I didn't do it. The original camera was broken, they replaced it and it's broken again. I am not going to risk $60 bucks for it to be broken again in less than a year..

I'm glad Apple has this service! I'd never heard of it. Are they expensive?

It's free if you have warranty. My warranty expired sadly. Original camera failed, replacement camera failed... that's 2 failed cameras. I don't want to pay for a third and how do I know if it'll last. They only warranty 3 months.

This is why I will never fork over so much money on an Apple product. I'm fine with cheaper products like my old MyPhone Rio and my Alcatel Flash Plus.

We really need to take note the period of warranty and able to have a good service from the company's products.

I got the camera fixed last year and the problem persisted but I was lazy. Now it's out of warranty but I'm hoping since they put the part in less than a year ago (10 months ago) and the same problem is occurring they'll honor it. Most likely

Me too. But not this time since my phones out of warranty now. They will fix it for $60 - but I figured I won't. The original camera of my phone failed, they replaced it and it's broken now.. Hope they will fix it for you. I have no experience with Apple, other than a very quick response once when I thought my iPod was not working.

@infatuatedbby Oh! It's similar to what happened to my Samsung S4. I dropped it 3x (different days, unknown reasons, just saw it falling from my grip). After the 3rd time, it doesn't recognize my simcard anymore. Brought it for repairs, spent P800, bought new battery for 1,200 (because the technician said my 2 batts are bulged already & destroy the system of the cp, bought a new & original charger for 1k (because its o.c. was borrowed & never returned so I bought & used a universal charger. After all the expenses, the cp still did not recognize my simcard. So? Am just using it for wifi. Placed my simcard to a less-favored cp but recognizes it.
