Sometimes when I go to some marriages I would see people spending lots of money in the marriages. Some people would provide lots and lots of gold to the groom from the bride's family and also there would be lots and lots of different varieties of food and lots of decoration of stages and lots of other things in the marriages. I do feel that sometimes people are spending their whole life's money on the marriage especially the parents of the bride. Do you think people are spending too much money on the marriages and do you feel people should spend less amount of money?

Yes, I think that people are spending too much for the marriage. It would be better to spend the money for more useful things.

Most people want to show they have money and that is one of the reason they spend too much money on marriages.

I think the marriage is an important issue in the life. It can be understanding that people will spend much for it. As I think they will know how costly to get a marriage and therefore they may cherish it and will not divorce easily? Of course if they have to suffer a debt or spend too much than they can afford to get married, then I don't agree to it.

My brother spend so much money on his wedding, his bride didn't. I don't care how much others would spend about their wedding ceremony because it's how they see it as a priority in their life. I didn't spend much on mine because I just see no point in doing so. But others look at a wedding ceremony differently.

I'm not one for spending all this money on a wedding. I think in the end it is a waste and doesn't mean that much. I guess in some religions it is necessary to do this one. For me I would rather skip the wedding and head straight off to the honeymoon and spend all the money enjoying myself instead of feeding others.

I prefer simple wedding ceremony. I guess it depends on the status of the family. For the celebrities, it is inevitable for them not to have grandeur wedding ceremony.
