The man in the blue dress. True story.

Every Saturday, dad ( and sometimes me depending on my mood and if I'm awake ) will go meet my nan down at the shopping centre to have breakfast. Then after breakfast, nan will do her grocery shopping and dad will take her home. A few weeks ago when I went down there with them, this man walked past in jeans and a white top. Under the white top was clearly a bra. My exact thoughts at the time? "I wonder if I should cut my hair again. Get rid of the split ends." Yeah as you can tell, I was not fazed at all with the man wearing the bra. I heard some other lady say to her friend. "Disgusting. Not normal at all." Normal? What is normal anyway? It was out of the ordinary yes because you don't see that every day but why is it disgusting exactly? I don't get it. Anyway this morning, dad, nan, brother and I went down for breaky. My brother left home before us so dad and I met him and nan a little bit after. When we first walked into the shopping centre, we saw the same dude wearing a blue dress. My thoughts at the time? "Don't know if I want scrambled eggs or the big breakfast." Again, I wasn't fazed by it. About another 15 minutes later when we were all sitting together, he walked by. So many heads were being turned. Whispering, snickering, laughing, pointing, jaws on the ground. Again, not an every day thing but I was honestly the only one who looked up, saw, and looked back down again to look at the menu. Tell you what though, that guy had styyyyyyyle. Girlfriend *snaps fingers* He was a lot better dressed than the girls nowadays I can tell you that but anyway, how would you react to a man in a dress? Would you be looking in disbelief? Judging him? Or completely not giving a damn like moi?

I arrived here because of the blue.... but I am never dressed that way I recall, when I was on the bed for those long 8 months I did not have had any haircut and they were long (maybe an inch or so down the shoulders). When I started walking again, I felt good about my hair and did not cut them. Everyone objected, but I did not care. One day when I was at the nearby mall, buying some flowers, I had many staring at me and even singing some songs on long hair.... And I was all positive, though wifey felt embarrassed. C'mon, it is my hair and my life. I can do whatever I feel with them. As long as I dont feel awkward or embarrassed I dont care what the world things about me. Same for this guy, he felt cool, so all is fine. And I am no one to judge anyone. I gave it up long back

Long hair on a dude can be really awesome looking too. I personally don't see long hair on a guy as something to gossip about. Good for you on not caring about them because you're right, your hair and your life.

Same here. I'd be more shocked if there was a fight going on or a fire in the shopping centre but a man doing nothing but walking through living his life? Doesn't bother me. He isn't hurting anyone. People need to lighten up I swear.

One day about a year ago I went shopping in Costco. As I was leaving I got behind this guy who wasn't only wearing a dress, but also high heals. I thought it was a bit strange but as they say, "To each their own."

The only thing that bugs me is that cross dressers always have the most awesome clothes and high heels and I envy how man or woman can walk in them without falling over lol

I guess I can't imagine why he would go out dressed like that. What did he hope to prove? I know he didn't have to 'prove' anything but I don't see the point. I can't see anything good coming out of it, just potentially lots of 'bad'.

@VivaLaDani13 I've heard of psychology students being given some very weird assignments and the other possibility is that he did it for a dare although you'd probably be able to tell from his body language if he wasn't comfortable with it. A psychology student wouldn't be too confident either I'd say.

@JudyEv That's true. I wonder if I will ever see him again and if he will be wearing women's clothing again.

Part of me is wondering if this was a personal social experiment of his. Although I do doubt that but what you say is another thing I was thinking afterwards. I don't know. But yeah, he is going to get a lot of looks and possibly will get verbally attacked if he hasn't already.

HAHA! I do not. Don't even know the dude. Very hard for me to crush on someone without knowing anything about them. Celebrities don't count. hehe Love From, Danielle Jackson.

@Daljinder I don't know. I'm weird like that. For some reason I seem to be the rare type of girl who doesn't perv on dudes. It's only happened twice in my life where I liked someone before actually getting to know them. Other than that, I don't care because I realised that even the best looking person can be a do*che. I don't like those sorts of people let alone crushing on them.

For years we had a chap in our town who always dressed as a woman. He called himself Mandy, and everyone was so used to him that they didn't bat an eyelid. After all, what harm was he doing?

Well exactly right. He wasn't doing anything. If he was a man dressed as a woman who was killing people for a living, THEN we have a problem lol But nah, wearing the opposite genders clothes is nothing. I'm so glad people got used to him.
