I noticed that Figure Skating was on my local channel here and decided to watch it. An American gal skated and was very good. But, this Asian guy who just anchored his team was fantastic. The Asian team was lacking in their performances and he sure came in and helped the team with a huge score. Nearly 170 I beleive it was. His name is Shoma Uno. He got a big score, did a wonderful job for being such a young skater. Do you watch skating when it is on? I have added a link to an article about this Asian skater.

@just4him ....He just wanted to give his group as many points as possible. Didn't win them the championship but, it did help them.

@celticeagle Yes it was. He keeps that up they will be adding the quad jump to the requirements. I don't think it's required right now. I remember when someone started the triple and now that's required.

I like to watch figure skating and whenever posible try to attend it live. I have tried skating on ice before; unfortunately, that is something I was not able to master.

Shoma Uno is excellent. He just won his second silver medal at GPF 2018.
This discussion is three years old. But Shoma keeps getting more and more amazing.
He's my bias now.

@AnneEJ ...I used to skate on the sidewalk. I tried to ice skate one time and so mortified I never tried it again. I have never been a co-ordinated person.

I am not very interested in watching skating often but it is amazing to see the skaters! They're very talented. I am scared just to turn when skating lol.
