Are there still Honest People Around? / myLot

Yes there are still few. In this world that we are living which is full of lies and deceit, it is really difficult to trust. Whenever I hear stories of people showing their honesty through performing their public service sincerely without accepting bribe or returns and strangers who return the things that they had found which do not belong to them, I return to the thought that it is a good thing that there are still few honest people existing in this world.

I do hope they are the majority but it is sad many just walk away with what do not belong to them if given half a chance - siva

Yeah, there are still a few. And like you everytime i see on the news that some driver returned items that are left in the car touches a spot in My heart. Same as people who are compassionate.

Amongst all the dishonest people you will also find honest people. It may be hard to find them but they can be found.

Of course that there are still honest people, but, it is easier to notice those we dislike. This is why we notice the non honest ones.

Yes, there are still plenty of honest people. When they knew God and they are God fearing persons, they are honest one.

i personally have found that there are less good and honest people around. most of the people are bad in nature. they want to take advantage of others. so it seems it is rare to have good and honest people around.

People who are honest usually develop a certain reputation for it. However, nobody is perfect. We all lie. Nobody is 100 percent above board. The thing is, if a person has a good conscience and a firm conviction in their God and abide by strict standards of doing what is right can still on occasion lie. But overall when you practice common decency and honesty you help create a persona of good will and good intention that will guide you into your future with better feelings of self worth that can not be measured by material wealth but only add to your spiritual integrity and you will find that inner feeling of having done right. I am not perfect. I have lied many times. Every time I have done so I have suffered badly one way or another from it. I like to feel good not bad about myself. We can work at being better at being truthful to others but moreover, by being true to our selves.
