Cannot Say No

Is there anyone you cannot say no to when they ask for help?
When the dentist passed by while I was standing out front the other night, I took the opportunity to finally make an appointment with her. Our agreement was today, 4pm.
However, the next morning, a friend texted me that she was short of funds, so I sent her the money instead and cancelled my dental appointment.
To be honest, I've been wanting to see the dentist for several months now, not just for fillings, but also to ask about temporomandibular joint disorder.
But it's hard not to help my friend because I know her financial challenges are much, much harder than mine. I also give her other stuff her family can use when we meet.

There is one thing I learned in my 60 years on this earth, that I only give if I have extra... If I was in your case, I would not have given to anyone or lent the money I need to fix my dental issues..
We have to make sure that we take care of ourselves first before we take care of others.. And as human beings, when we have "extra" we must pass it on ..

just like my savings account. it creeps up for several months, then boom, unexpected expense.
i think being kind-hearted and helpful is our people's strength and weakness

That's so kind of you. The only person I can't refuse are my family members. But fortunately none of them are in need of money. They just usually ask me to do errands for them or borrow my car. Actually they don't borrow my car, they just let me know when they use it and take the key without waiting for my answer. but they sure know how to wait till it's available

that's how it should be, though some kids can be so persistent.

You are so nice to be of help to your needy friend. As long as she returns it promptly, there is no issue lending her the money, but you should also prioritize your needs.

That is so sweet of you to send her money. What a caring friend you are. I hope that it will be repaid though when she gets the funds. Too many times people take advantage of others so I will not loan money. I hope that you are able to see the dentist soon. I am sorry to hear that you are having issues. You are a great friend!
