Want to Go to the Beach

The Boardwalk at Moonstone Beach in Cambria

What a wonderful change of pace it would be if I could forget working today and head for Cambria and walk along the boardwalk. I still can't walk alone until I see my cardiologist again and get cleared for exercise since my heart problem from two weeks ago remains undiagnosed. I have no one to walk with since Hubby can't walk for more than about five minutes before his legs make him stop. I'll have to stop my California dreamin' and get back to work. Have you been to the beach lately? Do you have a favorite beach? Do you live within an hour of a beach?

We're within an hour of a beach but for me the bush is my salvation and my 'beach'. I hope you get back to walking on the beach soon.

Me too. Were it not for this challenge I'd spend my birthday there tomorrow, but I can't. I think it will be cold anyway.

@JudyEv Thanks. It could have been better. My computer crashed this morning so I had to restore it and then update a bunch of programs again. Not quite the birthday present I was hoping for. We did go out for lunch, and then I had a health issue again. Fortunately it calmed down and I did not have to go to the ER. In spite of everything, I still got my two challenge blogs done. So I guess all's well that ends well.

Actually , our office is situated at the second floor of the mall our company manages . It is by itself by the sea , So , during lunch break , after taking our lunch , hubby (who also works in an affiliate ) and i are at the sea view , looking at those ships docked and at the sea itself, while we chat . The sea has a calming effect.

@SIMPLYD That sure beats the average lunchroom view. Seeing that everyday would certainly make taking the lunch break worthwhile.

I live about 30 minutes from the beach but we have not been there this year yet. There has been too much going on but I am sure we will go soon. I hope your dream turns into reality soon, I'm sorry you have no one to walk with you. =(

I'd definitely walk more and be healthier if I had a walking partner again. I know what you mean about too much going on.

My favourite beach is in Essaouira in Morocco. It's long, wide and very windy.

I live in LA so the beach is close enough. My parents came from Santa Maria just south of you, so I am somewhat familiar with your area.

@JohnRoberts That would be my pick. The beaches near LAX are too noisy.

I'd love to visit the Philippines someday, but I don't think it will happen. Lovely beach. Thanks for sharing your photo.

Thank you. @bagarad just don't go to Zamboanga because kidnapping is common there.

Sorry to hear about that. I hope your condition becomes better soon so you can walk by the beach again. I live in the city and the nearest beach is more than 2 hours away. I had the opportunity to go to one early March but I'd like to visit the beach again because it's summer here in our country.

Summer is a good time for the beach. I usually go in winter when it's less crowded. We have mild weather at the coast all year.

I live within three hours from the beach. I love the beach and whenever I can, I pack my belongings and head for the beach. Next time, will be this next summer, I hope!

I'm lucky. I can be at any one of five beaches within an hour, some within half an hour.

I was tempted dopwn to the beach early this evening. It looked lovely from a distance but once I got there I realized that the waves were rough and the windy was cold, so it was a short stay. But a nice breath of fresh air anyway. I hope you make it soon and that your heart problem will soon be sorted out.

Thanks. No rest for me today. Hubby interrupted most of my morning activities and I only finished one blog of the three I have to do today. I'd better figure out how to make those two short.

I have not been to the beach in years. I love walking along the shore and collecting bits of interesting things cast up on the sand. I would love to go again.

Beach at Leffingwell Landing in Cambria, California
I would say that with all our beaches in California, most people would have a different favorite. Moonstone Beach is my favorite while I'm living here. I like the rugged coastal beaches more than the sandy sunning and swimming beaches. I'd rather just walk the boardwalks above the beach or go down and walk on the sand by the ocean, since I don't like tanning or swimming.
