My favorite go-to snack is an Arnold's 100% whole wheat thin bread with sliced avocados and a drizzle of my home-made dressing of olive oil and Pomegranate Red Wine Vinegar.
The whole wheat is good for us, but I don't like the regular bread. I like the Thin bread because it's very thin and only has 100 calories plus 5 grams of fiber. I'm not pushing Arnold's (there are several other brands also), but it's my favorite.
This is a snack that I can enjoy without the guilt of say, a hot fudge sundae.

I also like rice cakes...sound really good with peanut butter. Anything crunchy satisfies me.

@AnneEJ That sounded so good that I had a whole wheat thin bun with crunchy peanut butter and sliced banana. Quite tasty.

@1creekgirl That has become my evening snack lately, rice cake with peanut butter. Tonight I had a banana with it.

@1creekgirl I made another cantaloupe smoothie and online on a few sites it said that Orange juice concentrate could be substituted with 1 T. sugar and orange extract. They were very very wrong. It was so disgusting I gagged lol. I think it might have been good if I had the orange juice concentrate so I might go to the store today and try again.

@shaggin It might be better to make your smoothies out of something else and just enjoy eating your cantaloupes plain!

Isn't is strange that some things are so yummy, but don't always translate well to being used in a different way. I love watermelons, but not watermelon drinks!

Avocados are one of the healthiest things to eat. They're rather expensive here, but they're also delicious in a salad of raw spinach, tomatoes, blueberries, and walnuts with a home-made vinaigrette dressing.

Hey, if you're in Ireland, what time is it there and what are you doing up in the middle of the night? It's 11:15pm here so I know it's really late there!

Sure, lots of them, but I would like to add a warning to your post. People who are allergic to latex should avoid avocados. The tree on which they grow is related to the rubber tree, which is the source of organic latex.

Are the chips made with gluten free rice and beans or is it chips made from beans along with rice that's gluten free?

@1creekgirl Since it's a certified gluten free product I assume the rice is gluten free.

There's just something so much tastier to me about the thin rolls than the bread.

Going to New Zealand last year, I also found out that they use avocado as sandwich feeling. In our place, we eat scraped ripe avocado, mix it with grated ice or ice cubes, add in some sugar in the mix and eat it as dessert. Some would prefer to throw in some milk and they find it very yummy :)

@1creekgirl The difference, however, with New Zealand avocados and ours is that theirs is quite hard as compared to ours which is soft being ripe. I'm sure you haven't tried eating avocado our way. If you'd like to try, just make sure the avocado is ripe and soft. I assure you, you'll love it :)
