Is the bottom part of Niagara Falls from USA worth seeing?

Niagara Falls is one of the great wonders of nature. The falls are so deep that huge of amount of hydro-electric power is generated from projects surrounding Niagara Falls.
It is visible from both the countries, USA and Canada. The part that is visible in USA starts where the flow of the water is fast and gradually there is a fall.
There are trains and buses within the part surrounding Niagara Falls which bring visitors to the tourist place.
Raj Kapoor's film Around the World was shot in Canada and USA. The song of Sharda Rajan titled "jane de jane jane de sanam" composed by Shankar Jaikishan became big hit in the late 1960s.
It is a lifetime experience to see Niagara Falls.

They are thinking about shutting off the American side this year, and if they do then I'm going to go up to see it. I think it's fairly impressive flowing and not flowing. I saw the falls from above last year. I flew out of Buffalo and could see it from the air.

Thanks Morgan for the wonderful comments. Can you say what is the reason for shutting off from American side. I saw it in 2007 and came from Ohio where I did LLM from Case Western University, and travelled to Buffallo and then Niagara.

@sathviksouvik They want to repair the bridge that leads to Goat Island. They are discussing multiple ways to do it and shutting off the falls is the most cost-effective. People are worried that it will impact tourism, but I think it would help it.

@OneOfMany Thanks Morgan for the response. If it is related to repair of bridge then that is a priority. Once it is done again tourists can visit Niagara Falls.

It is absolutely worth seeing for its beauty and being grand. It is unforgettable when you see something like this. I wish I would have such a chance to pay a visit to it some day if my financial status permits.

I was just there yesterday, for the 3rd time this year. I only live about 2 hours away so it's not hard to drive up for a visit.
Did you do the boat ride? It's amazing, it takes you right into Horseshoe falls!

Thanks Avinashji for the comments. Actually I did LLM from Case Western Reserve University, Ohio, USA. I got a scholarship to do LLM there. So I visited Niagara Falls with my family at that time.
