~Breaking Down My wall Of Comfort~

Good morning! I was just thinking about something earlier that came to mind. Certain people were a comfort to me and I put too much trust in them before. Then as i grew closer to God He removed these people from my life one by one. Now that all of these people are not in my life i am growing closer to the Lord than ever before. Trusting in people will get you a lot of disappointment as I have found out but God never lets me down.

Expectations are the culprit. Low or high, they are there. Make peace with them or at least try. Disappointments will decrease in number then.

Others can be a comfort to you but God is the one to depend on.

I donĀ“t think that removing people from our lives is a good thing to do. THere are people who do not let you down.

@marguicha No not all people, just the ones I was trusting in instead of trusting in God.

I'm sorry that you have found distrust in some close people in your life. You do need to be very careful who you trust, and it sounds like you're there now.

@Juliaacv No i haven't actually. I don't think I worded this right so I apologize. A better way to put it is i was trusting in people for comfort instead of putting my trust and comfort in God.

There are people that it's better not to have around, but removing people is not a good thing too.

@LadyDuck Not removing all people, just the ones I was trusting too much instead of trusting in Him.

Sadly that is a human fault. We all trust people and are naive as we treat people the way we wish to be treated but then realise they are not like you at all.

@garymarsh6 Well not one of us is perfect so we really shouldnt judge. I wasn't saying in a bad way on this discussion-quite the opposite. I was trusting friends for guidance and comfort instead of giving it all to God.

That is great. Trusting in people too much will let you down.

People come into our lives for so many different reasons. I've learned many lessons from the ones who didn't stay. And so many are only meant to be with us for a short time. Unfortunately, sometimes, even the good ones.

@crk109 Thats right some are only meant for a season in our lives. Others God takes out for a little while until we focus and put our trust back in Him.

People never let us down,it is the expectations...if you are under god's grace...you can see his compassion in everyone.
