Paro is a visitor's paradise. Bhutan is situated on the foothills of the Himalayas. Among the different cities Paro is beautiful. The rice fields of Paro are brilliant. On one side there is clear blue sky. On one side the blue mountains. The rice fields are situated in terraces in the valleys and foot-hills. One of the interesting things is that the rice of Bhutan is red rice. In fact Bhutan is one of the few countries which produce the maximum amount of red rice in the world. A lot of water is given in the rice fields. There is lot of nutritious value of red rice. Bhutanis people are staunch rice eaters. On both sides of the rice fields there are orange orchards, apple fields as well. Any tourist will get lost in the beautiful farmlands of Bhutan. May and June are the best time to visit Paro in Bhutan. It is not that cold and the weather is soothing. Visitors should visit Paro in their lifetime.

Paro is situated in foothills Ricki, so from the valley the mountains are visible.
