I have my air tickets for my vacations.

Good morning, friends. The tickets for St. Maarten are in my pockets, so to say. I printed them so that Claudia would see them and to check how my my daughter would have to pay to me for her part. She has to pay for her ticket and for the tickets of the 2 children and I will pay for the lodgings of everyone. I haven´t printed yet the vouchers of the resort, but I should do it soon as it might get lost among the many emails I receive. Although vacations will be in July, when the children are in their winter holidays, I am already preparing my heart for them

I went to St. Maarten once and I´m posting a picture . How do you prepare for vacations? In the spur of the moment or for some time?

Are you going to St. Maarten? I love that place, we went there twice, I love the two cultures on the same Island, Dutch and French. I would love to come with you.

@marguicha We stayed in Philisburg. There is a very old place that is a hotel and a restaurant The Pasanggrahan Royal Guesthouse, I love this place.

The only place I go out to within the country is to my aunt´s house. But I like vacations during winter as a health measure.

@marguicha I live in an archipelago where I could fly to different beautiful islands just within the country. But I don't have to pack days ahead for that and with the electronic ticket and online check in, it make things convenient, we could just pack and go. But traveling to another country is a different story.

I have to thank that I bought them with time. This is the first and last time I travel when chilean children have their vacations. It is difficult and expensive to buy tickets, to get the dates we want and go to the places we thought of.

The only place where France has a border with Holland, and it is a very old border, lasting since 1648

. I hope that you will enjoy your holidays. While I traveled a lot when I was younger, more I am getting old and more I am a stay at home now and don't like to stay far from my home during several days.

I don´t like to go to cold places anymore. In fact, my vacations are to take these ol´ bones away from the cold. For me, most of Europe is coldish even in autumn or spring .

@marguicha Many people are like you here, but personally I do not feel good when the weather is too hot and I prefer spring and autumn to summer. I would make an exception for an island like Saint Martin because I read that it was a beautiful place.

I have never heard of St. Maarten but from your photo it looks very beautiful. I think I would enjoy vacationing there. That is so nice of you to pay for the lodging if your daughter pays for her tickets and her children's. I hope you all have a wonderful vacation together.

We do most of our European countries on a tour.No worry every thing is taken care off. I loved it this.The island is another things.We just book a flight .Check on line for rooms etc.

How wonderful to be returning to St. Maartan. I understand that they have a very interesting airport. I hope that you get to the beach to see the planes come in to land inches above your head, I plan holidays months in advance and do a lot of preparation finding out what I want to see and do. You will have a great time there! Have fun!
