Yesterday I wrote that it was a nice day for a change, in the late afternoon our furnace for some reason had stopped running. I will have to call someone to come out and look at it. First we need to clean up the basement as we have been storing some things down there and it doesn't at this time look all that nice. I am glad if the furnace had to stop working it happened when it was not so dang cold. I do have a portable heater that I have set up to take the early morning chill off the house.

@TiarasOceanView Nope haven't had a chance to call and have to wait for one of the kids to go down and move some things.

I hope your furnaces was repaired. Ours is off until October, no matter how cold it gets!

@DianneN I see so even if your furnace is out of comission you still can stay warm.

@Marcyaz We have a couple of space heaters, two fireplaces, and heaters built into the bathrooms. It's never too cold here.

It is so easy for areas to become cluttered when we store a few items away.

@Marcyaz Maybe not, but we rarely notice as the situation compounds.

@Hate2Iron I might have had to call my son and ask if me and the dogs could spend the night at his house if it had been colder.

@Marcyaz I am beginning to wonder if it will ever warm up to the point when we don't need a furnace!

we need to pick up the stuff to have the drain on our air conditioner blown out, like every year.

@Jessicalynnt We will probably have him look at our air conditioner while he is here. Thanks for the reminder.

Good thing it stopped working as the warmer weather is sliding in, well eventually. I hope it is a simple fix!

I'm sure the furnace people are used to seeing messy basements when they come in to do work.

@Marilynda1225 I would guess so but I still would like it to not look so messy.

@Marcyaz We don't have a furnace but man they look creepy lol I guess I have just seen way too many horror films that involve a basement. Basements in general would freak me out. I do hope it gets fix! We are having a bit of trouble with our heater at the moment actually. It is winter here so this is a bad time for it to stuff up.

@VivaLaDani13 Sorry you are having trouble with your heater, ours is now fixed but now being warmer we use the AC.
