Well there are a few English usages that I am just learning.
This morning I learned the difference between "You did me wrong" and "You done me wrong", thanks to Valerie explaining it patiently.
As I mentioned there, we Indians would have written it as "You've wronged me".
So here is a request ..
Why doesn't somebody come up with posts like
American slang 1- "you done me wrong"...it is joke...variant of ""you did me wrong" which is a serious stuff!!!
American slang 2 -......
We the non-natives would love them...
Thanks in advance..

Not everyone wants to learn. Given that, a lot of MyLotters will start complaining that these kind of posts are merely a kind of tutorials and surely the number of takers would be less.
But yes, I have seen and been on occasional posts like these and do appreciate them.

I support this idea. My amendment is: they should be paid part of your income. How does 60% sound to you...? lol

We should not be using slangs in our writings. But, anyway, it is worthwhile to learn English slangs to know what English-speaking people are talking about.

@Fleura .. But if that language is becoming popular aren't we going to be out of step with times? I am sure the language that Shakespeare and others used stepped aside for new generation language which too must've been considered "improper" sometime.
But you are right...it has something to do with location.

That's confusing to me. lol I mean while using them I feel lighter side of the meaning when saying "You done me wrong". With "You did me wrong" I see an accusation. That I did know.
But I never actually knew the clear difference of one being a joke and other serious business.

A lot of them are usages I am not familiar with...I usually make sense of it based on the sentences, but I could be wrong in interpreting them.
I would have presumed You done me wrong was something I misheard or the person mis-typed ...You've done me wrong...would have been right kind.
But Valerie used it to say ...You misunderstood...I too use that kinda language...kind.

It is good to learn correct usage to convey the message well.
