May the fourth be with you!!! Star Wars Day is today for those living in my side of the globe. The other side has to wait, give or take ten minutes, for them to start celebrating the biggest movie franchise date! Spend your day watching Episodes IV: A New Hope, V: The Empire Strikes Back, and VI: Return of the Jedi. Episode VI was originally titled as 'Revenge of the Jedi' but 'revenge' is such a negative emotion that it was changed to what we got to watch. Episode VI is my most favorite among the six. Watching Boba Fett met his demise in such an early part of the movie was bitter sweet for me. I had always cheered on the villains but seeing Han Solo and Luke Skywalker escape Jabba's sail barge was also a relief. Round up your day watching Episodes I, II, and III. See how a young Anakin Skywalker grow up and embrace the Dark Side of the Force and turns into Darth Vader. Definitely one of the most iconic villains in cinematic history. In the picture is yours truly. I'm wearing my Darth Vader mask. When I get the chance, I'll purchase a full Darth Vader costume. So whether you are a Jedi or a Sith, an ewok or a droid, a supporter of the Rebel Alliance or a loyal trooper of the Galactic Empire, may the fourth be with you this Star Wars Day.

I first learned this was a thing by watching an episode of The Big Bang Theory.

Except for one important thing: you don't want to introduce someone new to the series (at least not the latest versions of it) either 'in release order' (4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3) or 'in series order' (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6); but in "machete order": 4, 5, totally leave out 1, go on to 2, 3, and 6. T3 explains why. Basically 1) to make it 'a surprise' when that one guy says, "No! I am your father!" 2) so you know who that long-haired Force-ghost is & 3) the phantom menace is ... just ... bad!
Watching the Star Wars films in release and episode order fails for numerous reasons: discover why the Machete Order is the way you should watch the saga

I'll remember this. I always watched Star Wars based on the series order.
