How to choose a discussion subject

I'm sure we all do it a bit different, but my favorite way is to open that big box of ideas and start digging through it.
*hmmm...that one's a bit worn around the edges*
Sometimes, I'll have to discard a few.
*too many big words, people might not understand it properly*
But I just keep digging and looking.
*too many holes in that one, it might not hold together very long*
But with enough perseverance, finally I might find something I consider adequate for my purposes.
*AHA! That one looks good!*
*pulls from box*
*posts*

@JolietJake It usually takes me a little bit while the ideas and thoughts swirl around inside of my brain too-and you thought that was a totally void space, not so! lol

@JolietJake It is definitely a skill, so please don't argue with me.

I don't know how much of a 'skill' it really is though...I've been trying to write something for 30 minutes and keep winding up dissatisfied with it and trying to start over.

@MsTickle You win, I don't have the mental fortitude to successfully win an argument this morning

Trying to think up a good topic isn't always easy. Just sitting here reading this I was feeling your pain. Then lo and behold, a topic came to my foggy brain and now I am off to post.
Have a good day! May your post get many responses.

@JolietJake I love your discussions. Even those that are not about anything at all. I like the ones that you think you know what they are about and when you get to the end of it you sit back and go "what?"

Like Seinfeld? A show about...nothing! It's brilliant!

Sometimes the first thing that comes from my mind is what I post here.

I sometimes do not start a discussion for I couldn't find a good topic to start with.

Boxes of photos are becoming a rare thing these days. Everything is digital. I do still keep one.

At least it wasn't buried in the bottom of the box.

I try to stick with topics that only 3-4 people will read and comment on.

I've been thinking, and instead of doing a 'Top 10' based on a single artist, I think I'm going to do a 'Top 10 Remakes' with my favorite songs redone by people...

@JolietJake - That's a good idea. Wish I'd have thought of that. Should be a good one.
