A lot of people moving

We currently rent a three bedroom, two floor type of place. We live in a large complex, with apartments, townhouses, and such. We've been here almost three years, and we've gotten to know some of our neighbours. Quite a few have moved recently. More than previous years. It has been kind of sad to see them go, as we've gotten to some of them. Two of whom are my kids' friends. Sure, some people have moved in and out in the area of the complex we're in, but it hasn't been this many. It seems a little odd, but I know some have bought a house. Others may have felt it's time to move on, which I understand. It's also sad as we may be next. We have renewed our lease for another year, but after that we're probably going to leave as well. My husband was talking to my eldest's best friend's dad, who leaves a few doors door, and he was saying the same thing. They may be here another year, and that may be it. Hopefully we stay in touch with them, as his youngest and my eldest are two peas in a pod. My youngest daughter also enjoys playing with her. Such is life though.

Yes, such is life. I guess these apartments are more transitional and not something a lot of people stay in for very long.

It doesn't seem that way. Some have been here for 10 years or more, but most seem to be here for a few years and that's it.

@celticeagle that's a long time. We have neighbors who have been here that long.

We're not moving yet. We're staying here. For a little while. When we move, we're hoping we can move into a house.

@silvermist we were thinking about it. Part of us wanted to, but we just didn't have the money, and such. We figured it wasn't the best time. So, we renewed our lease for another year, but I think we're definitely planning to move after that.

Yes, that's life. Everything keeps moving forward no matter how much we want things to stay the same.

@dodo19 And that's the best part. Keep this good attitude and make more happy memories.

Yup, very true. That's how life is. But at least we got to meet new people, and we'll have the memories of fun times, if nothing else.

Hopefully when you leave, you can buy a house. Renting seems such a waste of money. And, you certainly could keep up the friendships with play dates and get togethers.

It would be nice to buy a house but I doubt if we'll do soon. We'd love to own a home, but we may have to wait a little longer.

@dodo19 I hope it comes sooner than later. Sometimes the mortgage is way less than the rent.

That seems to be the norm, people don't stay in one place for long. There are always people moving in and out of the building I am in. It is hard for children to move away from their friends, but hopefully if you move you will still be close enough for your children to keep in touch.

I hope so. It'd be nice. If not, I'm sure they'll make new friends.

I cam understand the connection. I feel sorry for those affected. At the time I was writing this, it wasn't what I was thinking of.
