What do you think about your best friend's other half?

Personally, I feel awkward when I meet my friends other half for the first time.
I don't know how to talk with a person who is gonna "steal" my friend's time that was meant for me.
But I am polite so, I talk like nothing is wrong.
Like I am not secretly planning his/her painful demise if he/she even for one teeny weeny moment thought of hurting one single strand of hair of my best friend.
It's a lot of work you know.......
And takes a LOT of patience.....
So, what do you think??
How do you feel about /deal with your friend's other half?

ok so in total, I have 3 friends in Perth who are girls. Only one who has a boyfriend is Beckie. I've never met her boyfriend. BUT I am mad ( and I have told her this ) that she moved in with him very quickly and got pregnant with him very quickly. I'm not saying I would try and stop her from living her life but now she lives further away. She used to be literally 2 minutes away from my house. Now she is nearly an hours drive away.
We used to see each other every 2nd or 3rd day to do something. Now it's like once a month or more than that. It totally sucks.

@Daljinder Well I guess everyone is different and I guess I really meant quickly on my terms. But she moved in with him after a few weeks of meeting him and fell pregnant 2 months after that.
I wont comment on that. She's my friend but I have issues with her that she will never understand or even try to. I don't envy her by the way just in case it crosses your mind. I don't follow her on Facebook anymore. Couldn't stand it.

@VivaLaDani13 FEW WEEKS!!!! OMG! That is quick alright. But maybe she did find her one?
And no, the thought of you being envious of her didn't cross my mind. But another horrible thought did. lol It wasn't related to you.
P. S. Don't mind me but I have replied back to easiest of your responses. Those that are left need more attention so I am going to take them slow. Maybe one per day.

@VivaLaDani13 How quickly is "very quickly" according to you?
I thought they had been dating long like for years. Hence the baby in the picture. She looks and sounds happy.

So, what do you think??
I think this picture is same as the discussion where some girl was proposing other. I think this is about the same two girls and the man who accidentally fell between them!
I never go great with anyone's other half, except for each of my parents'...

@vandana7 Kind of "closed" family thing.... for me, it was completed the day I was born. You could check out if you tried hard but there is no check in.

@hora_fugit Nah! It's not about her. I am not even in contact with that friend of mine.
Just an incident yesterday made me think of this. I realized even with my cousin's other halves I am hesitant.

I don't know...I mean, I met one of them, and I thought she was way too superior to him, and wondered why she agreed to marry him. Can't tell after all, it is money (dowry) matter...the little sister I was sob sob about in your post, her husband may best fall in the category you have. Because it was the regular dating kind of marriage, I kind of approved of him. He was very much in love with her, and so it was alright kinda. No. Never felt possessiveness about sister, because I could always treat her as sister back then, right? As a matter of fact, I was surprised at the hug and sobbing she did when she got married...wondered from where that came. As little girls, we had differences. But as grown up, I did love her in my own way..but did not realize it was that deep. I mean, I was mostly in hostels, and only spent a few vacations and an year with them. I was touched that she sobbed as if she cared so much and I think that is the moment it struck me that I cared too that much for her. Otherwise, it was pretty much like hostel friendships for me till that hug at the marriage.

@Daljinder .. The one I mentioned...well that ended in divorce...the guy ended up caging the girl...denying her bath for more than 3 weeks, left her in room with her daughter...no bath, only food, and water..beating at will...he was good looking guy but well, something awkward. You can't tell...but you know inside type. As to my little sister...she is happy alright.
