I Hate Talking On The Phone / myLot

I don't know if I was dropped on my head as a baby, but I HATE TALKING ON THE PHONE! It never fails to amaze me when darling daughter (who also hates to talk on the phone) and I go out to lunch together. We like to sit and chat together, but I think that we are the only ones lol. You look across the room and everyone is looking down at their phone. You can have 4 people sitting at a table and no one is talking to each other?? Is conversation a lost art? I really am beginning to wonder. And then it comes down to my daily phone call with my mom. I swear, if it wasn't for the fact that she is my mom... I wouldn't be doing it. Oddly enough, she loves it so I guess my daughter and I didn't inherit our hatred of talking on the phone from her. lol... And what she doesn't know won't hurt her. It's our little secret.

This business of talking on the phone or texting when in public with other people is getting to be ridiculous.

I hate going into a restaurant or cafe and seeing everyone talking on their phones. I think the art of conversation is being lost.

I love texting but I absolutely hate talking on the phone. I've always been phobic about it. I would rather text all day long then make a one minute phone call. The akward silences on a phone call bothers me.

I used to love phone calls but the conversation has to be really interesting. I understand the awful way face to face communication has been dying because of our devices too but i do it sometimes too. If the conversation is good I can do without my phone though

I only like to talk on the phone with certain people ... my daughters, my husband and a few close friends. I would never talk on the phone in a restaurant if I was with someone else.
