who is your president?

It's election day here in the Philippines on Monday (May 9). As the day closes by, the mud slinging is getting more intense. One particular Vice Presidential csndidate seems to be doing nothing lately but try to unload a lot of mud to the Presidential candidate who's now leading the survey. He also did that to another candidate. Anyways that's another topic. My thoughts for now is who is my president? I have been thinking for a few months now that running for a post is like courtship. Most guys would show their "best" side to the girl and hide their bad side as best as they could. When there are rivals, they would try to expose tbeir rivals' hidden side -- rhus the mud slinging . Works of a traditional politician. On a very rare occassons though, some guys would show their true self to the girl or would even brave enough to show their worst side saying " this is me at my worstm Take it or leave it". Or rarer circumstances this guy showing his worst has done more good than the others combined. I guess if you are a Filipino you know who I am referring to. Mayor Duterte. Even before he declared he is running fir president he's been implying he will do a lot of things that are normally unacceptable. He threatened to kill criminals himself and "claimed" killed a lot. It seems he is bent to rule country with fear. H owever, if he ruled Davao using fear alone, whe y do the people of Davao seem to respect him and the law more than they fear him. When he held his campaig rally in Davao, the crowd were over flowing and I have not heard or read any remarks that the crowd are paid for or "hakot". Even years ago, I have already heard how good he was in managing one of the biggest cities (if not the biggest) in the country and brought it up from a chaotic state 20 years ago to what it is now. My main point is, my president is someone who is not a hypocritevand someone who is not afraid to show his " worst" but would let you find out for yourself the good he has done. How about you, who is your president?

Aww... Too bad u can't vote. Many people though are afraid that if Duterte wins, there will be another martial law and extrajudicial killings all over the country will start, and NPA will rule... Etc... I think they bloated that story way out of proportion. If you (people from Davao) were ruled by fear alone, why would you defend Duterte from everything that the yellow army is throwing against him? Surely it's not just fear

@MGjhaud same here. They easily believe what they hear about Duterte. I'm from ROXAS City, by the way but I'm voting for your mayor. Why? I'll make another post for that. But to go straight to the point, I've been to the Davao only twice, but I was able to say "I hope all the city officials are like the ones in Davao, truly they have planned for the future. They must have a visionary and strong leader." And to note, I did not know who the mayor was at the time. It was on the late 90's

Good choice... No... A WISE choice! She too has been very honest and frank. If only she could beat "Mr. Clean" she would be my choice too. As Duterte announced, she's one of the only two who are capable of running the country however, many fears she could not finish her term because of her health and a dictator VP would ascend.
