Rain, Rain, Rain

It has been raining ALL DAY today. It’s still raining at almost 7 PM. I intended to look at the weather report on the evening news, but instead I am here on the computer.
The yard looks like a pond. I think it’s supposed to rain tomorrow too. I wanted to run some errands today, but I didn’t want to go out in this weather. It’s cold too, only about 60F degrees. April showers should have ended and May flowers should be everywhere.
I finally did put some of my baby plants out in pots on the porch, but I keep worrying about them getting blown away by the wind or drowned.
Oh well. One of my errands today was to go to Target and get some more potting soil, because I have other seeds to plant. I bought some “seed bombs” also at Gabes. I haven’t planted them yet either.
How’s your weather?

I'm just growing some flowers. I used to keep a garden, but just can't keep up with that anymore. So, I start seeds on my Kitchen window sill and then put them in pots on my porch when it gets warm enough.
I have some sunflowers that have outgrown the windowsill. I need to get them in the ground, but it won't stop raining. They have grown two inches every day.

@KristenH It's still raining. (3 PM) I did hear that its supposed to stop around midnight tonight.
The ground is really soaked and the weatherman said we might get some wind, I hope no trees blow over. When the ground is saturated, the wind can blow trees over from the roots.

@carebear29 It's my understanding that when a person lives in a certain climate for a long time, their body acclimatizes to the usual temperatures in that area. My sis-in-law moved to Florida over 30 years ago and when she comes North now, she can't tolerate the cold weather.

Sixty might feel warm to you, but I think that's not very warm. LOL Have you always lived in Wisconsin?

Storms just keep sweeping across from the west, one after another. We always need the rain but I was just a little tired of it today. I wanted to get some errands done and it just wouldn't stop. Hopefully, I can get something done tomorrow.

Yes, I've heard that Oregon and Washington state both get a lot of rain.

You're in PA, right? Sixty is not warm to me. We had some nice sunshine, then it started to rain.

You are so lucky. It is raining all day. In Kolkata it is not raining at all and temperature has gone to 40 degree centigrade.

We are supposed to have rain all week. It has not yet rained today, but it is overcast. I planted some grass "bombs" in a couple bare places in our yard, so that the rain would help them sprout and grow.
I hope we do get some rain so they will sprout. I hope you get some needed rain also.
