The Death of the Republican Establishment

Donald Trump has succeeded in overcoming the Republican Establishment and is the presumptive Republican Nominee for President. This marks the end of the Republican Party as we know it. The traditional Republican Party is held together by an ideology that has many good features including limited government and taxes, human freedom, free enterprise, the entrepreneurial spirit, and free trade. The Republican Establishment died as this ideology does not affect the lives on everyday Americans. Times are extremely tough and the average American is working for low wages, has trouble just surviving, and has no economic future in this country. Donald Trump says he has a place in this country for our workers and promises a bright economic future. So the voters dumped the Republican Establishment and took a chance on Donald Trump. What do you think? Is this an accurate explanation for the Trump's victory? What other factors are involved?

Both Republican and Democratic establishments need to be exposed and be taken down many pegs.

The GOP has been alienating women, aka 50% of the population, for the past 10 years with their attempts to defund Planned Parenthood, to restrict/outlaw abortion access, etc. That stuff is kind of important to us. It is no coincidence that the further right the party goes on this, the more unsuccessful it is in general elections.

Well, false promises and the low standards that many citizens have for the leader of this country can be a cause of the downfall of a party. Many people are not involved in politics and don't value history enough to take into account what can happen as the result of any decision made, i.e. leaders, laws, etc. I am not on the side of the Republican party, yet think that the other factors that have the people who voted for him on his side was one thing: MONEY!! If you're not taking into account politics and have the option of having a BILLIONAIRE as the president who just blatantly isn't qualified, yet you're working with low wages and want "America great again", where would you go if you're not a democrat or a third party voter?
