How do I deal with Sunshine?

So, there is a friend of mine who is very dear to me. She's the light on my dark days, the spark in my life that gives me inspiration, and my protector. She's my best friend, and she has been with me through thick and thin, through the rough and the painfulness. Now, I have an issue when it comes to expressing to her just how I feel about her. She's convinced herself from day one that she's no good for me, and I'd be better off without her, when the truth is that I wouldn't be able to make it without her. Help?

I'm so sorry you are such in a dilemma. Not sure how you can convince her otherwise but just be strong and be friends with her no matter what. in time she might just see what you mean.

No. Just self-worth. She doesn't want to accept or even acknowledge that she's a valuable person in my life. She feels as if she's no good for me and that I'd be better off not being in her life, constantly, even though she doesn't necessarily want to avoid me.

@MEAngle There is difference between loving her, and being in love with her. So, you love her in both ways?

Time to just sit back and wait it out my dear. If she knows how you feel, then you will reconnect soon.

Well,we still communicate on a daily basis. It's just that I'm having an issue getting it through to her that she and I are like peas in a pod. She's just having an issue with realizing how great she is as a person. Is that something that she must discover by herself? Can I do anything to help her?

@MEAngle I'm not a medical professional so I have no official advice.

That is a very dangerous idea that she has that you'd be better off without her. Is she also depressed?

No, she's not. Just very insecure at times, but I can understand just that from past experiences.
