I certainly know what you mean, as anytime that I can spend with my son, is always a good time. I was invited to my son's for Mother's Day for breakfast. It was very delieghtful to spend the time together, even if for just a few hours. The grandkids made the breakfast, and they did a very good job. It was a chance for my daughter in law to stay out of the kitchen for a change, and she loved it. It is really great when I can be treated special on a special day, and I am treated very well.

@DianneN I haven't seen my older son for over three years, and don't know when we will get together again. Thankful for Skype once in awhile. Saw my younger son at Christmas and hope to get down there sometime this summer.

My older son is married and a daddy. He usually spends the day with his wife now. This year, they're in France and Italy. I still received texts and flowers from them.

That is nice that your younger son took you out to a sushi dinner. It is nice to be able to spend time with your children especially when they are working in the area and just decide to stop by. Beautiful picture by the way.
