Automated Services..

It's bad enough when you call a business and you have to press 1 for,,blah, blah,blah. Press 2 for blah, blah, blah... and then you talk to an automated service and some time what they recognize what you say, isn't what you said!!
This weekend, on Sunday we missed a call. So we have caller I.D. and the hubby called it , just seconds after they called. It was an automated service stating the operator wasn't on duty...their office is open 5 days a week!!
They just called us!!
When I was a telemarketer years ago, if we got an answering machine, we immediately had to hang up, but now days, automated services will leave you a message!!

I don't like dealing with the automated messages, it drives me nutty!

Some times, I'll just press "0" and an operator comes on the line, so I actually get to speak to some one!

I had automated services! You would think big companies can afford people to answer their phones. Sometimes after pressing all these numbers you get the "Sorry, we are currently unavailable - please track back again" after pressing all the appropriate numbers is a pain!!

@infatuatedbby I know but it is irritating. You put your phone number in 10 times and some dumb voice saying, "Sorry, I do not understand. Please enter your phone number." Well, you dumb blitz, did they forget to oil your brain this morning?

Ugh! Automated is the worst. Solicitors are horrible. WHen I have to call a technician about an issue with my computer I have to go through this voice activated automated call director. Drive me crazy! They ask what the call is concerning, I tell them. They don't understand so we try again. We go round and round and all I have said is 'tech supprt' and then 'home pc'. What is so hard about that? Did I lisp?

@akalinus, that's the nice thing about caller ID, isn't it? Some times I' won't answer the call and then call them back and tell them to take me off their calling list!

@STOUTjodee It does no good to tell them to take you off the list. They don't care.
