Down at the Rocks

Early the first morning we were at Rings Beach, after a quick coffee, I took a walk along to the end of the beach, to a rocky corner at the end of the bay.
The last time we were at this location on the Pacific coast was thirty years ago, when our son was quite young and we had a dog who was full of energy. The two fellows fished from these rocks most days, though I don't remember whether they caught anything or not.
I sometimes went with them and explored the rocks. Other times I stayed a home, reading and enjoying the peace and quiet.
This time there was no fishing, but it was great revisiting lots of wonderful memories

@valmnz I have a few favorite spots in Maine that I frequently visit every time I go there. It brings me peace.

That is nice to do. Sounds like a nice area. I live just less than four blocks away from where I was brought up and I hope to ride over there this summer on my mountain bike.

We actually expected the place to have changed in thirty years, but it hadn't. Apparently the holiday homes that have changed hands have done so within their families. And, there is really no land for new development without knocking old ones down.

Myhubby would be on those rock from sunrise tills unset with the fishing rod in hand. He loves it - I even bought myself Rockey's to walk on the rocks a few years ago. they did well in Greece and italy where the beaches are not smooth like ours
