I hate stretch-limos

Seeing these extended cars used to be quite rare but now it seems every birthday, stag or hen party involves their hire. I saw about three of them today alone. I have been in one, about ten years ago when a friend hired one for his 50th birthday. They are quite comfortable but it feels smug behaving like millionaires with a taxi driver masquerading as a chauffeur. Such gas guzzling cars are slow and impractical in heavy traffic or narrow lanes. I actually just find them annoying. What do you think of them? Have you been in one? Arthur Chappell

I've not been in one, but they don't bother me. If the girlies want them for their special night, that's ok by me.

Fun for events, rode in one once, but not something I cared tons on, now having a driver, that would rock.

@Inlemay I suspect many of them are two or three cars welded crudely together so they probably do fall to bits quickly

Lol! The last time I was in one was 10 years ago, too, for my son's fiancé's bachelorette party.

We've been in one once or twice. It was strange seeing ourselves go by in shop windows. When we were in Hoath in Ireland we saw a stretch Hummer. That was pretty cool.

I don't recall ever being in a stretch limo and I don't really like them as they are way to much. In narrow lanes they take up all the room on the lane.

Wow, I haven't heard of anyone renting them for their birthday after age 20 or so. My older sister did when was turning 16, I think , and it was kind of fun - just the novelty of it. I see them all the time for prom and bachelorette parties. I think I agree with you, they are just all in all kind of excessive.

I've never been in one. Our village has a mile of speed bumps so I can't imagine it would be great for these low heavy vehicles!

I don't remember ever riding in one. They don't bother me that much because about the only time I see them is if I'm Downtown Colorado Springs on a weekend night.
