Auction and Party Time

I haven't been online much the last few days but will try to be here a longer period of time.
Yesterday there was an auction in town but being it was so cold outside I didn't go but my son and his wife went.
It started at 10 am and they thought they would be done by 12:30 but it was still going at 4 in the afternoon.
They won some of what they bid on, my son bought some tools one was a Dewalt Miter saw with 5 batteries and my daughter in-law bought a very expensive figurine among other things.
Then in the evening their were numerous parties since school here is out for the summer.
We have had frost warnings to nights in a row so it has been quite cold here, had to cover up all the new trees that were planted.

We had frost warnings too yesterday but thankfully that didn't happen. The auction sound like fun, I haven't been to one in years. When I used to paint on Grape boxes we would go and buy them at auction. They were very cheap because the wineries changed to plastic.

Good you didn't have any frost. I used to love to go to auctions in fact a friend of mine had a husband who was the auctioner.

We had frost warnings for our area last night also. Thankfully it didn't get that cold, and we had both rain as well as wind which even with the cooler temperatures, didn't allow for any frost. Did somebody give Mother Nature a holiday, she needs to get working on our spring weather!

Wow sounds pretty crazy! We have the starts of a storm soon so it is cold and rainy and my boyfriend just had to leave the window open and I was too sore to close it. I slept with cold feet the whole night. ahh

Yeah it is definitely crazy. I can't sleep if my feet are cold, I would have to get up and put on socks or do something.

Wow that is a long auction but glad they were able to walk away with some stuff. It's been really cold here the past few days also, i want summer here.

There were hundreds of people there and they said parking was a problem for some. I would like summer here also.

Frost warnings? Ugh! I hope that the weather doesn't harm the trees. My mom used to go to auctions and I would go along. Haven't in many years now.

I have never gone to anything but one of those auctions you bid on papers before the auction starts

You will have to try to attend an auction as they are a lot of fun just remember when you start to bid don't go too high. lol

@Marcyaz I think I'd rather try to just sit and watch lol because knowing me, if I saw something I liked, I may become all competitive to try and win it.
