The liberal media owes a huge “thank you” to Donald Trump

Whatever would the liberal media do without the daily shenanigans of Donald Trump, the guy who has singlehandedly caused their ratings to skyrocket, the money to flow in by the bundles-full, and who fills up their otherwise dull, boring 24/7 news shows?
Anything Trump does or says, down to eating a taco, occupies just about a whole 24-hour news cycle. If I didn’t know better, I’d think Trump was the only candidate running for President in 2016.
Since last summer, when all the Trump stuff started, Trump has taken up about 90% of the daily cable news shows such as CNN and MSNBC. The same stories are repeated and repeated every hour on every show. The remaining 10% of the news is divided up between Hillary, Bernie and all the many disgruntled Republicans still trying to topple Trump.
The more outrageous Trump becomes, the more joyful the pundits and political analysts become, licking their chops at every tidbit, grinning from ear to ear as they actively neglect to mention a lot of what is going on with the other side of the aisle.
Trump may be outrageous and offensive, but don’t blame him for all the buffoonery going on. The liberal media is equally to blame, maybe even more so. They’re the ones greedily grabbing at the fodder, spreading it to us repeatedly, ad nauseum, while thoroughly enjoying their astronomically high ratings.

Trump was a genius misunderstood. He can reduce American taxes and can boost trade ties. He can also save America from illegal immigrants. Liberals hate him because he is a patriot American.

Vh, I see you're not from the US so I'll take it easy on you...lol...however I kind of resent that part about liberals hating him because he's a "patriot American". Number one, most of us liberals are every bit as patriotic as any conservative and number two, Donald has never done a single thing to show himself to be a patriot. He WON'T reduce taxes for anyone but the wealthiest like himself, who will do great under his plan. The country won't and the economy won't, however, since most experts say his plan will increase our debt by something like $20 TRILLION. As far as trade, the outsourcing of jobs and illegal immigrants go, nobody is more guilty than Donald Trump of hiring illegals for a fraction of the pay an American worker would normally get and of having his products made in foreign countries.

@the_thinker It's been widely reported that Donald's hateful words have been used in al Qaeda and ISIS recruiting videos and publications.

@anniepa Yes, I am not in USA - But I have idea of American history ranging from those BCE times to arrival of Columbus, so called Red Indians and till modern day USA. While I do agree that my knowledge is inferior compared to native Americans, I would still continue. Anyways, the topic of discussion is NOT American culture OR demographics. It is related to Liberalism, patriotism and how Mr. Donald fits there. My knowledge of America doesn't matter.
You called yourself "most of us liberals" thus giving indirect hint that if I start exposing liberals, you will take that as a personal attack. Therefore, I won't discuss liberalism right now.
Patriotism & Donald
Well, patriotism is not a limited concept. It is vast. Consider the time when he was not in politics. I was hearing a lecture and it started like - what should a common man do to boost patriotism. You are not in army to make country victorious. You are not leader as well to do something notable for the country. The lecturer went on and on and proved in the end that if you are just doing your work with honesty & integrity, you are patriot.
I agree that Trump did nothing to show his patriotism as a politician. That is obvious - he still has to prove himself. But look at his points.
He has guts to speak truth. He calls a terrorist as a terrorist. No one discusses terrorism today. I know America rarely suffers from terrorism & majority does not even know what does terrorism means BUT my dear friend, you cannot ignore terrorism. Proof that Hillary created terrorism
Obama is indeed the supporter of terrorism. Here is the proof:

These articles written by Americans are an eye opener for Democrat lovers. Trump on the other hand speaks of a ban. Americans wrongly think that Trump's ban would aid terrorism. A scholarly historian does not think like you. Read this to know more
http://www.raymondibrahim.com/2016/05/14/an-islamic-historians-response-to-donald-trumps-proposed-muslim-immigration-ban/
If his ideas are implemented in the right manner, he can end terrorism for USA. He has the guts to call a terrorist as a terrorist and that's a remarkable fact.
He can end illegal immigration from Mexico thus boosting national economy.
People do not see that Trump knows how businesses work and markets grow because he was once a businessman. If his ideas are materialized, he can create jobs and end unemployment. He knows how to end unemployment and therefore warns China / Japan regarding snatching jobs from USA.
Even if he favors rich entrepreneurs like himself, remember by reducing taxes, he will boost industrialization thus contributing greatly to national GDP.
He can do many great things for USA and the world provided he is allowed to do what he wills.
Kosovo is Clinton Country: a 10-foot-high statue of Bill overlooks “Bill Clinton Boulevard” in the capital city of Pristina. Hillary is also memorialized in what has become the crime capital of Europe: right off the street named for her husband is a store

It is something surprising for me : we have here a public authority controlling that any tv or radio gives exactly the same time to both sides during a presidential election. It is usually respected. Internet media, newspapers and magazines are free to do whatever they want.

We tend to watch Fox and even though they may be biased somewhat toward Trump, they also repeat the same things over and over again. If you missed it one day or earlier in a day, you can be sure to catch whatever it was whenever you happen to turn on the channel. It sort of reminds me of soap operas in that you can watch one episode every few months and keep up with the storyline.

The media has gotten so bad and so biased that I've had to cut back on my watching. I've been glued to cable news since the day Trump declared his candidacy back in June 2015. Very bad for my health!!

There have been complaints especially from former Republican candidates about Trump hogging all air time. A very astute rebuttal was issued: Trump has made himself easily accessible always responding to interview and comment requests on a daily basis. He is a master of publicity and visibility. Other candidates can't be bothered and have their "people" handle things. Cruz complained the most and Fox News stated he routinely didn't get back on interview requests. Clinton avoids media interviews and coverage except under very controlled circumstances while Bernie is available and the media feasts on Bernie as well as Trump.

It's not just interview requests, it's more how Donald's every move is covered live by every cable station. Hillary Clinton or the other GOP candidates when they were still in the race could be making a substantive speech and they'd cut away to show Donald's plane land.

Okay, I'm glad you saw it too Ms. Pearson, but man... I thought I was a harsh critic of the liberal media's coverage on this crap... Though I can understand if you've seen it a lo longer than I have and paid more attention to it too.

Where is this liberal media? I'll concede there was a time when MSNBC leaned somewhat to the left and their prime-time anchors are still relatively liberal when compared to the RWNJs on Fox News but they have tons of conservatives on as guests every night and their daytime line-up is full of right-wingers and it's getting worse all the time.

@Hanyouyomi I certainly know the meaning of "liberal media", I just wish it actually STILL existed. I said MSNBC used to lean somewhat to the left but those days are gone when we need them the most. It would be great if they all could be "fair and balanced" but since we have the far right Faux News (I call them that too!) and the almost as far right CNN I wish we had ONE truly liberal news station to balance it out. Instead we have the whole country being told how poor Donald is so mistreated and Hillary is the devil.

@anniepa I thought it was obvious since you see that MSNBC leans to the left and Fox News, or as many of us tend to call them "Faux News" lean to the right. "Liberal Media" is any form of media that leans to the left in political debates and news coverage... And I'mma be honest, I thought for a time that left-winger's $h!t didn't stink, when yeah... Yeah it does. But that's what irritates me about our media, because all I want are facts, not manufactured sensationalist hoop-la. But being cynical has granted me a degree of insight as I know that's not possible. Especially since sensationalist hoop-la is the only way the dogs we dare to call "U.S. citizens" will obey the commands given to them, because that's how they were trained. "Black community, another one of your kind was shot by a biased white cop. RIOT!" "White people, fear the riotous irrational black folks declaring that their lives matter!"
And those are just two examples... Meanwhile the rest of the world not perfect managed to rsolve such issues in a dare I say:"civilzed manner," as people of all creeds strive for coexistence. But hey, if the political hemisphere were like the rest of the world, life would be pretty dull.
