Castle Finale

Did you watch tonight's Castle finale? I have a theory, which I can say without spoiling it for those who haven't watched it yet. I believe they filmed everything right up to what looked to be the season finale leaving us wondering, as always... except we know Beckett was not scheduled to return so you can guess how the 9th season was expected to begin. But then the show was cancelled... just last week. I believe they did a rush job to put that last scene in at the end to wrap up the whole story in a tiny little bow. I originally thought they had possibly filmed two different endings but the show came really close to running over its allotted time so I think they added the last scene very recently. What did you think of the series finale of Castle?

It must give the writers some headaches when they suddenly decided to axe a show.

There wasn't a lot of writing required too add the last scene. They had such a small window of time to work on it... less than 2 weeks before the show aired.

They filmed two endings, and it depended on if it got canceled which ending would be used.

But they had no idea it would be cancelled. They knew Beckett wouldn't be back probably, as this was filmed months ago.

It won't be the same without that Castle/Beckett chemistry so it's best they cancel the show. :(
