We have all heard of the miracle of the human touch, and healing from the laying on of hands. I have always been a little leery of this. But I know comforting hands are soothing to the sick person, or to the healthy for that matter.
It's nice and relaxing to snuggle up in your hubby's arms, to hold your baby close, or have a soothing massage. So, maybe the human touch is healing. I was reading about research going on now that proves people live longer who are in a good marriage with a loving partner. The research shows that these people are healthier and live longer.
What is your opinion about health and the human touch?

One of the quilting ladies that I loved, who has now passed away, told me when I first joined the quilt guild that you needed so many hugs in a day to stay healthy. I miss her hugs.
I used to be a touchy feely type person with my significant other, but now I'm not. I actually hug quite a few people at church, but rarely even touch my husband (that's a whole other story)
But yes, I believe there is something to your well being having to do with touch.

I believe that laying hands can be a very effective treatment, there is much more to the world than meets the eye. We all need the human touch.

I think we all possess some kind of energy. I think we can transmit a little part of that energy through touch. Touch can be calming as when we touch our crying child, or our frightened friend. Touch is very important. Science has suggested that babies who are not touched sometimes fail to thrive. (Won't eat, etc.)
