In the Pinawela Elephant orphanage at Sri Lanka, the elephants are rared up and cared for. In the afternoon they are brought in the river and there are mahouts who come with the elephants. the elephants bathe in the water. There are restaurants with such ambience that when the visitors have lunch they can watch the elephants bathe in the river water. It is very interesting site.
